Breast Lift

Breast Lift

Lift your silhouette. Elevate your confidence.
A breast lift—also known as mastopexy—is designed to raise and reshape sagging breasts, restoring a firmer, more youthful contour. Whether due to aging, pregnancy, weight changes, or gravity, many women experience a natural loss of elasticity. A breast lift helps you feel like yourself again—refreshed, confident, and comfortable in your own skin.

Is a Breast Lift Right for You?

You may benefit from a breast lift if:

  • Your breasts have lost shape or firmness over time
  • You notice sagging or downward-pointing nipples
  • You have stretched skin or enlarged areolas
  • Your breasts sit lower on the chest than they used to
  • You want a perkier look without adding implants

A breast lift can be performed alone or combined with augmentation or reduction to achieve your desired outcome.

What to Expect

A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure designed to raise and reshape sagging breasts to a more youthful and perky position. The primary goals of a breast lift are to improve the shape, firmness, and overall contour of the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding breast tissue.

Ideal candidates for a breast lift are typically women who have experienced sagging breasts due to factors such as aging, gravity, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or significant weight loss. Women who are at a stable weight and are bothered by the appearance of their breasts being lower or flatter than they would like may consider this procedure. A breast lift can be performed with or without breast implants, depending on whether the patient also desires an increase in breast size.

The breast lift procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia. The surgical process involves making incisions on the breasts to remove excess skin and reshape the remaining tissue. The specific incision patterns used will vary depending on the degree of lift required and the size and shape of the breasts. Common incision patterns include the periareolar (around the nipple), vertical (from the nipple down to the breast crease), and inframammary (along the breast crease) incisions, often in combination to create an anchor-shaped pattern. After removing the excess skin, the surgeon will tighten the surrounding breast tissue and reposition the nipple and areola to a higher, more youthful position. The incisions are then closed with sutures.

The recovery period following a breast lift involves some swelling, bruising, and temporary discomfort. Patients are typically advised to wear a supportive surgical bra during the recovery period and to avoid strenuous activities and heavy lifting for several weeks. While some initial improvement in breast shape and position will be noticeable relatively soon after surgery, the final results will gradually become more apparent as swelling subsides over several weeks to months.

The benefits of a breast lift can include a more youthful and uplifted breast contour, improved breast shape and firmness, better symmetry between the breasts, and enhanced self-confidence. By addressing sagging and restoring a more natural breast position, a breast lift can help women feel more comfortable and confident in their appearance. As with any surgical procedure, a breast lift carries potential risks and complications, which will be thoroughly discussed with the patient during the consultation process.
